BrightColoursOrphanage Primary School Project

The Primary School Project grew out of a simple observation: many children in our area, including street children and children from struggling families, were not in school at all. Without the basics of literacy and numeracy, their options in life narrow very quickly.

The project gives these children a welcoming first step into education. Lessons focus on reading, writing, mathematics and good learning habits, delivered in small groups so teachers can give each child attention. Children receive uniforms and materials, and we encourage families to see school as a path to a better future.

Our hope is for every child who passes through the project to continue their education with confidence.

Volunteers bring energy, skills and fresh ideas to our home and school. There are many ways to help, whether you live in Lahore or are visiting:

• Helping with reading, homework and English practice.
• Leading art, music, sport or games sessions.
• Sharing professional skills such as health care, teaching, trades or administration.
• Teaching or mentoring in our women’s skills programme.
• Organising fundraising or awareness events in your own community.
